History of Lunar .NET

Posted by on Tuesday, May 06, 2003 (UMST)

Lunar .NET was founded by Moonwalkers for Moon Station Programmers and was carried forward by early members of the Moonwalker Away Team.
Lunar .NET was founded in December of 2002 by two Moonwalkers, Greenly Spacemover and Meeiop Aliena, to create a community for .NET programmers on the moon station. There were twenty-five members of the Moonwalker Away Team who attended the early meetings held at the SpacePorch on Landing Subzero. RedDog Jupiterson of Microsoft spoke at the first meeting.

Lunar .NET is dedicated to professional programmers who are knowledgeable about leading-edge Microsoft technologies. The terms of membership and leadership have always been visible - ongoing participation in the community. Currently there are 989 active members. Membership is open to everyone.
